Mona's Taqueria - Ottawa

Worst restaurant in the area. Waited 1.5 to sit, order, and have our food. This is insane. We were told 30 mins wait for the food that’s why we dine at this location. Area was busy today for an event. But it shouldnt be the excuse for better service. Not recommended, and never will comeback at this place. You dont even deserve 1 star. Service: 1

THE FOOD TOOK FOREVER. Because no one came to take our order for over 30 minutes, not even water or napkins without asking for it directly. They were also severely understaffed while having a full restaurant (on a Saturday! . one boy was doing as much as he could while another lady was just hanging around the bar, while our table was in full view not being served. The food was great once it finally arrived! I got 4 tacos which were delicious. However, my pina colada was very watery; tasted more like coconut than pineapple. Additionally, we got limes with our food, which were certainly dry , almost unsqueezable. They ought to use fresh limes next time Would I go again? Maybe, if they got another server or something. Absolutely Delicious! This place is a true gem. I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience my friend and I had recently at Mona’s tacqeria. It’s a charming, casual-style Mexican restaurant situated on Bank St. in the Glebe. Our server, Adriana, was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the dish called volcanes, small crispy corn tortillas with melted cheese and onion, piled high with choice of protein. We got the shredded beef, chicken, and pork and everything was mouth-watering and delicious. Chipotle, and hot sauces on the side. They have vegan options and serve wine and a variety of Mexican beer. Can’t wait to go back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

They had a private event, but they still snuck us in! Amazing margaritas and atmosphere! I was so excited to try the food and Adriana was so so helpful! The Volcanes are amazing! The service was superb and chentau and Jeff were so sweet!! An Ottawa secret spot!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
