Marzitelli - Ottawa

What a great experience at Marzitelli’s! Great place to unwind enjoy have a few drinks, live band, laughter, fun, dancing and not to mention star authentic Italian cooking! My go to place! Thanks to the entire team of Marzitelli’s!

Hosted our team Christmas party here and had a great time. The owner, bartender and our dedicated server took tremendous care of us. The 3 course meal was delicious, the live music was entertaining and the ambience was everything we were looking for! Thanks for the awesome evening and for truly giving us a 5 star experience! We’ll be back!

My friend u0026 I wandered into this restaurant after trying about 5 others that had waiting lists. And we’re so happy they did, because this was the best pasta I’ve tasted outside of Italy. We each had Fettuccine Alfredo and it was amazing. The staff were super nice, the music not too loud, and the entire atmosphere pleasant. We even got to meet the chef and tell him personally how our dinner “tasted like Rome”. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I have no idea how this restaurant has 4.5/5 review. My food was absolutely terrible. I assumed this place was a higher end Italian restaurant, I therefore expected Neapolitan style pizzas. Instead what I got was Canadian style pizza. Ok not a huge deal….. but the pizza was just terrible, the pizza at the Costco canteen tasted better. The dough was clearly frozen, it tasted like cardboard. They also cooked the pizza in a non traditional low heat oven which just melted the cheese in one hard clump that was hard to bite through. The sauce was also way too watery and there was a puddle of water in my plate. I seriously have a hard time understanding how a restaurant could lower their standards this low….. I’m definitely not coming back. The service was good and staff were nice. But clearly the owner is trying to cut corners by freezing everything, either that or the chef has no clue what they are doing.

It is so wonderful to finally have a restaurant with ambience back in Ottawa. We had the Table de hote accompanied by live jazz. The family owned restaurant/club was personal. The wife was bartender and the husband was the chef. You can't go wrong with that. Thank you for such a delicious and lovely evening. Will definitely be back :
