There is a separate menu for voucher holders. The atmosphere was pleasant with nice lighting, decor, and good music. The crowd seemed to be mostly hipsters, which was not surprising for a Friday night at 8:30pm. The drinks we ordered, a lolita colada and a mojito, were average. The cream of spinach soup I had with nacho chips and croutons was enjoyable, but my partner found the salad only okay. The tapas plates we ordered, including potatoes, nachos, calamari, and a chicken wrap, were underwhelming. The portions were standard, but the quality did not justify the cost. The potatoes were soft and lacking in seasoning, the calamari was bland, and the chicken wrap was flavorless without the guacamole. The nachos lacked toppings and were disappointing. The service was slow, with long waits for water refills and the bill. Overall, my initial impression of the restaurant was that it was decent but overpriced. However, after experiencing the slow service and disappointing tapas, I do not plan on returning. I would only consider returning if I had another voucher.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic! The chorizo is excellent and they offer decent lunch specials. Although the prices are high, the quality is definitely worth it. The location is great too. The sangria was good, but could use more depth of flavor. There is also a 20% off deal on Yelp which is a nice bonus. I recommend giving them a try, as they are open to feedback and strive to improve. For the price, everything should be perfect.
Awful. Let me explain why. Armed with a Groupon, my partner and I decided to have a date night at Mambo recently. The weather was perfect for outdoor dining, and we were optimistic since we had enjoyed our previous visit. Things started off well, but when I mentioned the Groupon to our server, the manager came over in a skeptical manner. We had to justify what was included in the deal, such as two cocktails. The manager didn't believe a Caesar was considered a cocktail, even though it was listed under the cocktail section on the menu. The drink was weak and not worth the price. As we waited for our guacamole and other appetizers, a large tour group arrived, filling up the restaurant. The chicken rolls were good, but the flatbread was not Spanish as expected. When we inquired about the missing guacamole, we were told it was already served with the chicken rolls, which was not true according to the Groupon and menu. We reluctantly ordered main dishes, but they were disappointing and did not match the menu descriptions. The cheese plate was underwhelming, with cheap crackers instead of promised crostinis. Frustrated and hungry, we took the cheese to go and left after a long wait. Despite expressing our dissatisfaction multiple times, there was no apology. We ended up spending more than the Groupon amount, feeling like we were treated poorly. If Mambo continues to mistreat customers with Groupons like us, they will struggle to survive.
Went in for paint nite. Also got a groupon for their dinner. Their sangria was GOOD! I had so much fun painting~ Okay. So we ordered from their groupon menu, chicken wings and shrimp. Of course there was guacamole, OMG! Good! I love their spicy level, hit the spot but not over powering. And their decoration was decent, there is a private room with giant table in the basement, which i think would be perfect for party.
Absolutely Love This Restaurant!. Love, love, love this restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing and the service was excellent! Needless to say, I've tried other Latin restaurants in the past and none of them compare. Thank you so much! They just gained a loyal customer!
