Lapointe Seafood Grill Sushi - Ottawa

I enjoyed the trout about six weeks ago but this week found the meal to be just average. The mashed potatoes were runny and the tomato confit consisted of 2 tomatoes, heated. The server called me dear which is annoying. I 'll go back again hopefully to find things have improved to the delicious meals that I expect from Lapointe.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lapoint Restaurant in Bells Corners, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This hidden gem has truly mastered the art of creating unforgettable dishes.The sushi at Lapoint Restaurant is, without a doubt, out of this world. The quality and freshness of the ingredients were immediately apparent in every bite. From classic favorites like the California roll to their unique and innovative creations, each piece was a delightful fusion of flavors and textures. It's evident that the sushi chefs here take their craft seriously, and it pays off in every mouthwatering morsel.For those who appreciate a different kind of culinary delight, I can't recommend their fish and chips enough. The fish is perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the chips are the ideal accompaniment. It's comfort food at its finest, and the taste is simply amazing. Whether you're a fan of seafood or looking for a hearty, satisfying meal, Lapoint's fish and chips are a must-try.Equally impressive was the service at Lapoint. The staff was not only attentive but also genuinely friendly and accommodating. They made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. Their knowledge of the menu was evident, and they were more than happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions we had. It's clear that they care about providing a top-notch dining experience.

10 very satisfied bellies! Our family enjoyed a great meal, everyone was very happy with serving sizes and the flavour of the food. Sashimi and sushi were great! Gluten free options were much appreciated. Mussels... soooo many in the bowl, with a perfectly balanced broth too. Pescatore was also amply served lots of food! The fish and chips were enjoyed by those who chose both cod and haddock. We will be back...

Apparently this is $44 of halibut…. So tiny? What is this? I can’t even tell if it’s halibut? Looks nothing like the pictures of all the other fish and chip reviews. It’s also really soggy. Don’t even bother. Extremely overpriced. I’ve had better halibut at chip

Food was pretty good, but pricey. The seafood was fresh. The scallops were amazing, so sweet. Everything is basically cooked with butter so you really can't go wrong with the flavour.The atmosphere was ok. A couple flies flying around inside were annoying.
