Hung Hung House - Ottawa

Nevermind the location. This is a hole in a wall. The kitchen is in garage/warehouse hidden in a industrial condo. No need to say the place is sketchy AF but the food is great. You want to take-out, obviously.

Great food, fast service and consistent good quality of food. The couple that runs the restaurant are always so lovely. We have consistently ordered several dishes and they never disappoint. I have not found a better Asian take out restaurant in Ottawa.Vegetarian options: Mushrooms Chop Suey

The 上海生煎包 were crispy at the bottom and fluffy on top. Surprisingly very large buns that were great for the value.Top-notch service: Note that this is purely a take-out/delivery restaurant. Ordered the 上海生煎包 in person and was told it takes about 15-20 minutes to make. Came back to find out that someone else had taken my order but the owner made me a fresh order and also gave me a free Pepsi.

Shanghai buns had perfectly pan-fried crispy bottom. Flat rice noodles with beef was full of charred goodness from the wok (wok hei). A hidden gem.

Great food, great portions, great service.The Shanghai Pork Buns, Spicy Singapore Noodles, and the Cantonese Chow Mein are my current favourites.
