Tosca Ristorante - Ottawa

Very delicious, fresh and well prepared. I find a good litmus test for an Italian restaurant is how good they can do something simple like bruschetta and easy to put, tosca was on point. each of the dishes we had with the pasta delicious, a perfect one. al dente, the gnocchi tender, but firm and the tortellini was tender. the house red was chosen well, which is another good sign. the only reason I gave four and not five stars were the gigantic proportions. that may please some, but we were filled and couldn't finish our escapes. a very pleasant experience.

I should have imagined that there was a reason why an almost adjacent restaurant this lunch was packed while tosca was almost empty. when considering his menu it soon became clear that his informations about open table was clearly out of date, as the prices of... most of the porn were about $10 more than online, while there were no evidence for lunch specialties served with salat and suppe. when I asked about lunch, a rather surly waiter just said no. a Burrata salad enjoyed my wife. but a kalbsparmigiana had a broth piece of meat which was covered in a tomato paste and a piece of cheese with spaghetti blognese. it felt like two unconnected dishes that were mistakenly selected from a Naff buffet. both were prose and quite tasteless. the appropriate dish would have served a thin piece of baked calf with spaghetti in a tomato sauce. tod a inseriert Tuscan raffinesse, but the judgment by this court offers instead of American gunk. the butter, which was served with free brot, was harvested in its small plastic packs. a glass of Italian wee did not only hit the place, but was at a reasonable price.

We made a reservation here, I ordered the lasagne. the lasagne was not very good, very cheeky and bland tasting. both my man and I don't eat it. I told the server we don't like it. we didn't expect a refund, but only. friendliness, we didn't get it. we have an rude star restaurants that pretend customers are important, we are obviously not. at least we would have said that I'm sorry to hear that. that's not. I think they're not going here, there's better places.

I ate about 6 times in this restaurant, all for dinner. service, drinks, eating, atmosphere, service was always excellent. recommend these according to a restaurant.

A family business with excellent service and value. In a time of service industry recovery, this restaurant is a true post-pandemic success story. Fantastic food and wine. Truly a service with a smile restaurant. A personal Ottawa favorite!
