Older quaint place with great food and great service. Highly recommended.
I’d like to begin by highlighting that the quality of the food was truly good. The staff were fantastic, and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, the main drawback that affects my review is the food's lack of flavor. On my first visit, I tried the fried chicken and ravioli, and found them quite bland. On my second visit, I ordered the chicken parmesan, and unfortunately, it was the same story – everything tasted very bland. Additionally, there was very little sauce, only on the spaghetti and none on the chicken itself. Overall, it's not a bad restaurant by any means, but personally, I crave a lot more flavor.
Terrible food, terrible service, and the owner is clueless. Don 't waste your time. Like trying to find the real entrance to get in the restaurant, I don 't know where to begin. We stand by a crowd of people trying to pay their bill looking for where we are supposed to be greeted. After 7 minutes of that, we grab a waitress walking by and tell her we have a reservation. She sits us down at a table covered in crumbs (and a vinyl tablecloth straight out of the 70 's). I brush the bits of food from my seat to join the rest of the filth on the dingy old carpet. It 's right at home. We order and the salad is the first to arrive. The salad bowl is chipped and the silverware is buffet grade. We then got the poopers. The batter is weird to say the least. The second it hits your mouth it turns into a salty paste. I 've never expected to be grossed out by batter, but it happened. I get the chicken Oscar for an entree. The asparagus is over cooked and now the skin is un chewable and the middle is like canned spinach. The chicken itself is flavorless and rubbery. It has no color to it, almost as if the boiled it. And the hollandaise was awful. I then go to pay my bill and the card reader won 't work. The owner tells me to use an atm. I respond that I don 't want to pay atm fees just to pay for my meal. She tells me I 'm paying a debit card fee already. I say no and try to explain and she cuts me off and says yes you do! Before my head explodes I look to the waitress and inquire about using PayPal. We settle on Venmo and I finally get to leave one of the worst experiences I 've had as a customer at a restaurant. Never once did I complain that we had to wait. Never once was I offered anything to replace my entree and I was not offered any discount to my bill. I stand by what I said of their establishment.
Perfect filet mignon every time! I highly recommend the double baked potato as your side. The garlic salad dressing is one of their in house dressings and it is amazing! I also like the crusted bread loaf that they serve with my dinner. I drove over an hour to go back for dinner. This ranks as one of my favorite restaurants. The restaurant is situated in a home, at the back of a small subdivision of houses. Such a neat little place. Be sure to make reservations because it is well loved by many. I was seated immediately with my reservation. I highly recommend this restaurant!
