Mississippi Valley Grill - Otsego

Me my daughter did not sleep very good. Kids running up and down hallways and talking very loud at 930pm-11pm. Waterpark pools sandy makes the water look dirty. Prices for pool food was accurate. Comfortable beds and lots of choices for t.v. Free wifi!

This was the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. We payed over $400 to stay the night 12/31. We played in the pool for a bit after quickly dropping our bags off in our room and changing. Then went back to the room to rest. Until we saw black mold on the ceiling and walls by an air vent. We had to pack up and leave that night because I wouldn’t keep my kids in a room with mold. We talked to the front desk and they said we would get a full refund. We paid $465 and they gave us a $56 refund. I’ve been emailing back and forth for the last 3 months with no additional resolution. Avoid this hotel!!!

Grossest hotel I have ever been to. We got there at 4:30 and were told our room was not ready. They couldn’t tell me when it would be ready and there was no place to put our stuff that we had already brought in so we sat and waited with impatient children in the lobby. Once we got to our room it looked old and dingy with huge stains on the floor. Furniture was worn and looked dirty. Metal in the bathroom was rusty. We had three towels in our room for five people and were not able to get more. We all couldn’t even shower after being in their disgusting pool. The waterpark is poorly lit and has dark spots/stains all over the bottom of the pool. Again, there were no towels for guests in the pool area. For the two hours we were there we were told “they are in the dryer. It will just be a few more minutes.” We never got them. Because no one could get towels the locker room floors were standing water and there was water over the hotel. We stayed one night and left early. Management did not care and did not want to hear about our experience, which we paid almost $300 for. Stay away.

I was worried after seeing mixed reviews, but this was SO good! Our room was clean, all the staff from the front desk and pool staff were friendly. Plenty of towels (even though they were at capacity due to President’s Day weekend). Lines for food or slides weren’t long at all. A few kids cut the lines and ran up and down the halls, it that is on their parents, not the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and water park we had so much fun!

The hotel room was very unfinished. The molding in the bathroom was missing. The fridge was just sitting in the middle of the entry way. The light fixtures felt very incomplete. The design layout was very awkward. It very cold and unwelcoming. The actual temperature of the room was humid and felt damp most of the night. The check in time is too late to really be able to use the water park without feeling rushed. Overall the price is the room felt 30% too expensive for what you got. We would not stay here again. We spent all of august traveling staying at Wyndham hotels and they were all very nice, this location did not match the quality of our other stays.
