The three whose mother is German have visited Germany multiple times. Sadly, we were all terribly disappointed with the quality of the food. None of us considered the food Authentic German cuisine . While finishing our meal I believe that I saw through the service window, the cook dumping a big #10 can of something into a pot. We can not recommend this restaurant in good faith. The person playing the background music was way too loud and distracted from the meal. We hoped that she would take a break for a while.
Tried this Restaurant do to the great reviews, well, I'm beginning to realize that people have no idea what properly prepared food is! We did not expect to be totally disappointed, the main dish was by far overcooked, it seems it was cooked on the microwave with can topped gravy, the server was very polite, but not experienced, Tried his best.Food quality, was terrible. Save your money, or if you decide to go there do not expect good food.Sorry.
We've been there yesterday. The only good thing to mention is the waitress. She was very polite, friendly and quickAmbiente: German Restaurant called Da Vinci?? Inside not 2 things of the decoration fits together, it looks poor and just collected from various sources. Not really a typical German style and not a cozy place to be.Food: The lady who runs the business and also seems to be the cook said it is all handmade food.No way: the mashed potato were instant and tasted like the were made out of expired milk. The red cabbage and the Sauerkraut came just out of some can.The Spätzle never made by themselves. One look like the other, same size. Poor taste. My mother in law comes from Schwaben... I know how homemade Spätzle taste. The Schnitzel just with fried potatoes was so thin that you not even got a glimbs of taste between the panade. Price close to 20 bucks.Side order of red cabbage 4,50!!!!!The gravy was instant as well, horrible tasteI had Schwaben casserole, Spätzle at the outside really fridge cold, the pork medallions dry and like leather. Absolutely no taste at all. And for $18,25!!!!!!My wife had a Spätzle with cheese. Again poor taste, reasonable portion, but for $14,25 plus tax by far too expensive. We ate the food only because we were really hungry. The food all in all has a poor taste which you expect in a fast food place or in a small kitchen around the corner. But for restaurant prices????? No wayAnd the background music just terrible. We cannot recommend this place to other. We stayed there between 0800 to 0900 pmand beside us only 1 couple in the restaurant.
Authentic and affordable German restaurant owned by a German family, so cute! Veal schnitzel? Delicious. Homemade spatzle? Chef's kiss . Cherry strudel? Unreal. Our waitress Amanda was so personable and had great sense of humor. Loved it, 100% recommend this place!!
Amazing food and great service. I was wanting German food and being from the Franenmuth michigan area I have high standards. This place exceeded them all. Food was amazing. The service was amazing. Not enough good things to say.Food: 5/5
