As described above, supermarket TK goods are obtained here, partly cold or simply poorly prepared. The cocktails are also overpriced and more moderate. Service: bathroom! Slow waiters, either underoccupied and you wait very long for drinks and food. Or overfilled and you are asked in 5min by three different waiters whether you want to order. Uncoordinated. Some of the food is already cold when it's at the table. Ambience: Nice! The only really good thing you can say about the PortoBar is that it is a beautifully decorated location.
First: it is not the sheepest restaurant you can find in Osnabrück..BUT: the tapas and the meat are amazing with the origin taste of portugal/spain. The staff is friendly and smart. The cocktails are as they should be strong and not with sheep stuff) the portions are big. We sat outside and with the music and the ambiente at this hot september day you have had holiday feeling.
Great food but…. The Portobar offers a good and various card and the food was tasty and delicious but…. Both starters and main course landed at our table simultaneously. This could be okay apart from the fact, that both were hot dishes! Payment was a total disaster! They do not accept foreign credit nor debit card (would have been nice to know in advance) As guest you’re forced to visit the nearby bank (5 mins away) to get some cash if you want to pay the bill! The good food was all of a sudden completely irrelevant and the forgotten, disturbed by terrible service from the house not impressed at all!!
What a stylish bar. Has a lounge character, great bar, attentive service. Good range of food. I love seafood. It's over average priced but money worth. Great atmosphere, discreet music in the background. Good level of noise, easy to talk to friends . Recommended place to be .
Yesterday I was with friends in the newly opened Portobar for dinner. The restaurant remembers a lounge and is very stylish for my taste. We liked the big bistro table in front of the wine counter. Here we could, separated from a glass pane, look at the kitchen team. The Portobar was very well visited despite a normal weekday. We ordered the house wine for 12.90 EUR (bottle) and various main dishes as well as bread Aioli as an appetizer. The wine of the appetizer was good. The chicken even incredibly good! Only the Gambas did not meet expectations. With the grilled Gambas, which are offered for proud 14,50 EUR with bread and aioli, we would have expected a larger part. Without negative value: The staff is partly a bit rabies, which I believe to understand in the first weeks after an opening. Conclusion: Since food, wine and atmosphere are good, I can make a recommendation. Half of the chicken according to Piri-Piri-Art is tasteful and price (10.90 EUR incl. supplements) especially recommended! If the staff is more playful, the restaurant can be a real enrichment of the Osnabrücker Gastrowelt. Great for me to look around the corner
