On a weekend visit to Oslo, this restaurant was recommended by our son who has lived there for many years. It is an informal and very welcoming restaurant. Pizza is the speciality, with all the usual varieties plus several unusual combinations, also a decent range of pasta, meat and fish dishes. At the current exchange rate (NOK about 12 to £1), the food prices are actually not much more than comparable UK restaurants. Drinks however remain seriously expensive, this is the case anywhere in Norway. One other small but important point. For me, the mark of quality restaurant service is that, when the food arrives, the server knows who is having what, no need to ask “Who is having this and who is having that?” This can happen because the order-taker has recorded the table layout and indicated which seat has which dish. Villa Paradiso passed my quality test, and in a uniquely impressive way because the drinks and food order for our family group of six was taken without recording anything on a device or paper pad. It was all in the server’s head! I might add that everyone had something different, including one child’s pizza which was completely off-menu i.e. “Can she have a plain pizza with X, Y, and Z?” “No problem!” In the circumstances we thought it amazing that everything arrived correctly, and astounded that every dish and drink was in the right place without have to ask who ordered what!

I like this place so much! It’s definitely the best pizza in Town! If you are meetlover than take indiavolata!

I recommend this place. They know their pizzas here. Place is nice, though it could become noisy. Staff was professional, attentive and polite

It is known locally for its service and selection, and the fresh tasty pizza. It is always busy and even with seating inside and out,it is sometimes hard to find a seat. The service is friendly and efficient and it is a great place to have a quick, tasty meal and a cool beer.
