Desi's Taco Lounge - Oscoda

I've been here for 20 years. It's an Oscoda stop. Food is amazing, service is wonderful. I'd come here more often if I didn't live in Knoxville, TN.

Who loves Mexican food? This girl. I have eaten a handful of time here while I am down in Oscoda, MI and they have two of my FAVORITE types of meals, mexican and delicious breakfast. The first time we stopped eating during this trip was for dinner. I ordered a combination plate. On this huge dish, filled with food, was a chicken chimichanga, crushed in cheese sauce and with salad and tomatoes. Next was a hard bowl of beef taco, with salad tomatoes and shredded cheese. A Mexican potato saucer, which consists of a hollowed baked potato filled with taco meat, is located under the lettuce in the back. On the side are fried beans and Mexican rice.

Green Salsa. Every time I leave in Oscoda I have to visit Desi's to make their home green salsa / hot sauce.

Hubs had the fish sandwich and I had a chicken enchilada. Good food and generous portions (you have leftovers, I promise! The Blueberry crumbcake is seasonal and made me a better person on the first bite. The decor is fun to watch and enjoy while waiting for your food (which was quite fast! Our server (Donna? was super helpful, nice and wore the most beautiful smile. We were quickly welcomed when we arrived and offered a happy farewell when we left. Nice place with a good mood and good food.

Really great atmosphere! Lots of neat decor to check out. Server was very friendly and fun. The food was really, really good! And I have never eaten any other place where the food was so fast. Highly recommend.
