(Also, I didn't realise at the time that they use fish broth in cooking. I will check the next time I go. The staff was always very friendly. They were busy during lunch hours, but I almost always got a seat. The food was always flavourful and obviously very healthy. I liked that they used brown rice and you could flavour it at your table with a black sesame/salt furikake. Their hijiki fried rice was really good! I've tried to make my own at home, but it never tastes as good as theirs did.
The aromen are great, atmosphere is good, and they have some really vegan dinges like tofu mayo, dressing, etc. But unless you call ahead there is thishi in the suppe, some beside courts have tiny fish, the main dish that we were asked tofu instead of pork still had tiny pieces of pork in it. I was happy with a meat eater, so we just slipped around some of our dishes. in the grunde I don't want too much poo-poo this place because they don't have vegan options, I just think they can only call the day before or a few hours before, so that they can prepare right options. since most restaurants in japan prepare everything before it opens, it is hard to ask for changes as most of them might know. also the sojapudding has gelatin
Was kind of simple, but I think they have more options to dinner
I went here to lunch for the search for places in happycow to eat and it was certainly not contempt. I went into these little loading during the rush times, so we had to wait after writing our name on the visitor who waits outside the load near the door to the place. my friend and I ordered the cheapest (approx. ¥900) in the menu for the time: the lunch set consisting of rice and a few next dishes. it was really good. the personal speaks very little English, but good enough to help them with their menu that is only available in English. mention that they are vegetarian and they get replacement options for the meal. we have changed the meat side dish tofu. although fish oil is still used in making the meal, but we could not help with this. would come back and taste their desserts.
This is an established natural food café (it has been for 14 years), which has 3 standorte in osaka, 1 in tokio and 1 in okinawa. it has a cool rustic-meets-modern atmosphere and is very popular every day for lunch, especially for young businesswomen. their lunch sets contain in the regular meat, but recently when I went, they could turn this dish on Soba noodles. Although I told them that I did not eat fish, I forgot to indicate that fish stock until the suppe arrived and I remembered checking. Unfortunately there was a camp in her to which they were very apologetic, but also seemed to be stressed because they were so busy, and said they could make me a vegan, but it would take a little time. I told them it was in order and I didn't need it, but it made me a little unpleasant about the rest of the meal because, although I checked twice again, I wondered if they were to forget about other animal components. after my meal they brought me a cup of tea and apologized for the mistake that was really nice. I talked to them for a reason about happycow and veganism and they were very interested in learning more about it. I would recommend to come here if they are in the opposite and confident about what they do not eat in Japanese. if not, but komeday
