The Bum's Rush Pub - Orwigsburg

I ordered the Jambalaya after the waitress mentioned it was one of her favorites, and it did not disappoint—it was fantastic! Just a heads up, it's quite large and could easily feed two people. My wife opted for the Simply Grilled Shrimp with a twice-baked potato on the side, and she loved it. She said the shrimp was cooked to perfection, and the twice-baked potato, another recommendation from our waitress, was excellent. Since we received an appetizer sample from the chef, we decided to save our initial choice, the house-made chips, for a takeout order. We enjoyed them later that evening, and even reheated, they were absolutely worth it. We can't wait to return!

The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional. I will definitely return!

I don’t have anything positive to share about our experience. It's disappointing to see how much this once-nice place has changed in just a year. They really need to improve their service or they risk losing their business.

We ate here for the first time on 8/12. My wife had the Jambalya and I had the Salmon with spinach and smashed bacon potatoes. It was really good and portions were correct. With staff being new, it was a good experience and they did a nice job. I also liked the smaller menu. I get very nervous when I see a book for a menu. If the standards stay high, I have no doubt that this will be the top place to go in Schuylkill County. We look forward to returning.

Waited two hours for food that never came. We practically served our own drinks. They clearly weren't firing on all cylinders, but the fact that it took so long to come clean to us was rough. Wasted a lot of people's time.
