Girarrosto Del Buongustaio - ORVIETO

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The greeting is warm and welcoming, their terrace has a world-class view of Orvieto, and their food is very very good. The feature homemade pastas. One treat is the “tris’ of pasta—you can get three types of pasta on your plate for variety (and to help you not have to choose just one... . Their goat cheese filled ravioli i delicious, same for the sausage stuffed pasta with truffles. Any daily specials are worth trying—recently we had pasta with fava sauce that was out of this world! They have an open grill and do an especially good spatchcock- chicken. Whatever you order, you willl be happy.

We ate at this restaurant based on a recommendation from our hosts at Agritourismo Cioccoleta. The food was based on local Umbrian cuisine and was very good. The staff were exceptional as we had come in later in the evening and they stayed on and served us long after all the other patrons had left. We would definitely go back.

First night in Orvieto's area we decided to eat outside the town. We found quite easy this place. Even they were almost full they managed the situation (10 points for the waitress and a good tip! and placed in a nice place on the porch. Lamb, veal, hare and other great dishes, white and red local wines completed a successful evening.

Excellent quality/price ratio, tender and tasty meat, extremely kind staff and fast service.

Restaurant immersed in a beautiful setting with panoramic terrace in summer. Franciscan, the owner, very welcoming is noticed. quality food and right portions and in line with the proposed price. strongly recommended!
