2 persons dinner sales 32 Euro GENERAL, AMBIENTE The forge is located right in front of the marketplace on the main road in Ortenburg. There is an outdoor area, the access to restaurant and toilets is unfortunately not quite barrier-free (single steps) The restaurant used to be an old forge, which should be partially built. Decorative elements are. It was damaged and rebuilt a few years ago. That is why everything is still relatively new inside. The ambience is very cozy, optically on old trimmed furniture / tables, without tablecloths that do not disturb. On the tables slate plates as base for salt/peffer etc... something that disturbs the radio in the background. It doesn't fit. BEDING consistently friendly and attentive (question for the degree of cooking of meat and question whether it is right after the first bite). Little beauty mistake (which is widespread) was that immediately asked for drinks without taking a look at the map. SAUBERKEIT: We were the first guests in the evening, the restaurant was completely clean, only in completely hidden corners and the rough wooden decoration elements on the toilets found some dust, but you had to look in Heinz-Horrmann-Manier. ESSEN: An angus steak with potatoes and salad set for 17.90 and an oven potato with mullet and shrimp in tomato sauce for 8.50 was eaten. The meat was a huge piece (more than 300gr), very well roasted and spiced, inside beautiful pink, with thickness really an art to catch the right point. The potatoes were roasted in the oven, already crispy outside, beautifully soft inside. A real alternative to Pommes. Salad garnish was fresh and provided with a delicious dressing. The oven potato was also very good, not the whole fish/ sauce was in the potato and this was buried under it, but only a part. The rest was in a seperate dish, so it was easier to eat the stuff evenly on the potato. A soft, white beer was drunk by the local Wolferstetter brewery and a great specialty. The offer is well sorted, but not plentiful. Culinary world tours are also not offered. There are still changing seasonal day offers on the map that depend in the local area or are recommended by the staff.

Waren schon des öfteren dort und eigentlich immer ziemlich begeistert. Doch diesmal schmeckten die Pizzen wie aus der Tiefkühlung. Auch das Personal räumte schon den Tisch ab bevor man überhaupt fertig essen konnte.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Meiner Meinung nach das beste Restaurant im ganzen Ort. Kann man nur empfehlen!
