Now there are a lot of places in Florida to get a Cuban sandwich but this one spurred me to write a review of this restaurant that we frequently visit. First of all, this Cuban is Tampa style, meaning that it includes salami on it, unlike Miami style, which does not. The Cuban bread for the sandwich is imported from Tampa 's La Segunda bakery. Founded in 1915, this Tampa institution has been baking Cuban bread with the same recipe, which includes a palmetto frond laid on top of the loaf during baking, for over 100 years. The oldest restaurant in the state of Florida is Ybor City 's (Tampa) Colombia. And I will say that Oceanside 's Cuban sandwich is even better that the Colombia 's. Yes, it 's that good. A big shout out to our bartender/server, Liz! Excellent service as always! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Was told a couple months ago while eating at their location in Flagler Beach that thus location would be opening in July. Looks like any refurbishments are not occurring here lately. Maybe it'll be open by Thanksgiving or Christmas.
Best breakfast, dog friendly and food is really good. Outside seating Oceanview and the owner makes her rounds. Love going there
Can’t wait for it to open.
