Burntwood Tavern Ormond Beach

On our last visit for a late lunch, we had to wait briefly for a booth to be cleaned, which we appreciated as we preferred that seating option, although a table was available. We ordered the steak salad, and the steak was perfectly tender, cooked medium, and still warm. The zucchini chips were tasty, though the portion felt a bit small for the $10 price tag. The waitstaff here is very friendly; Kat, who served us on our anniversary, made our experience special, and the manager assisted us with signing up for the VIP card. Don't forget to save room for the strawberry shortcake waffle with strawberry gelato—it's so good that we've had it during all three visits! We also enjoyed meeting Shakespeare behind the bar. Overall, we've had great experiences here.

We're thrilled that The Trails is finally home to some excellent restaurants, including Burntwood. On our latest visit, we started with the tater tots and Angus sliders as appetizers, followed by the Burntwood Burger and Wedge salad for our main courses. For dessert, we shared an apple tart along with some coffee. Everything was absolutely perfect. (I'm still trying to figure out how they made the tater tots so delicious!) We highly recommend this place to anyone. The outdoor seating is fantastic, making it definitely worth a visit.

This was my fourth time trying Burnt Wood, and I really want to love it since it's so close to my workplace. Today, I ordered a burger and tavern tots. The burger was meant to be cooked well done, but after taking a bite, I found it to be too pink inside. While the flavor was good, it was just too pink for me to feel comfortable eating.

What a wonderful place. Artisan is the best description. Coming here from Dallas, I've missed this tavern feel and Burntwood nailed the ambiance. However, the best part about it is the food and drinks. They infuse liquor with strawberries... blueberries... and the food was absolutely amazing. Firecracker shrimp, smash burger, tuna carpacci, and the strawberry waffles dessert... OMG ???? what an awesome place. Will be coming back often.

Lovely atmosphere, professional friendly service, and good eats! First visit but have only heard good things from others who have eaten here. Very chill dining environment and the food was good. All the folks working were super nice and it was a very enjoyable dining experience. This will definitely be added to our local restaurant rotation.
