The Meatball Stoppe - Orlando

Lovely venue on the East side of Orlando. Conveniently located on Lake Underhill road near the 408 and Goldenrod Road. Walking distance from Advent Hospital (East). Multiple meatball, pasta, sauce and DESSERT options available. We ordered several items to try and were delighted with all the choices we made. From the Grand Smash sandwich to the Pasta bowl with roasted tomato sauce with traditional meatballs to the Five meatballs sampler all options were delicious! The pasta bowl had 4 cheese raviolis with creamy Provolone sauce and two huge meatballs! Could only eat part of it as the were so many other delicious items to try. The meatball sampler was a fabulous option to expand on all the wonderful meatball options. The meatballs are so huge and very filling! The flavors are varied but the traditional meatballs are reminiscent of Grandma's. Last, but not least, make sure to save room for DESSERT! We had great difficulty deciding what desserts to order but definitely knew we would have the chocolate mousse! So light and fluffy! Dined in with my family after seeing this gem on television. Based on the show I had high hopes for the food I was not disappointed! We had a hard time figuring out what to try first. We all tried a different dish and shared..EVERY LAST DISH WAS AWESOME!!!!!! BUT what made the visit better were the owners (husband and wife) came to our table to chat and it was a real conversation, not just a runby to make sure the food was good! Genuine folks, amazing conversation and even better food! They now have customers for life!

This place always brings a smile to my face. There is so much variety and vegetarian options also. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We started with an appetizer of a 5 ball sampler. We had the buffalo chicken, spicy sausage and pepper, chicken marsala, black bean and yuka, traditional meatballs. Very tasty! Next we each had pasta with 2 meatballs in a bowl. You can choose the meatballs, sauce, pasta. I had cheese tortellini with tomatoe sauce a sausage/onion meatball and a veggie one. Lastly, was desert. Pistachio cake, which we all took a bite of. It was hard not to buy another slice.

My gf and I came for dinner after seeing it on DDD. It didn’t disappoint! Service was excellent, and the food was great. We did the meatball flight as well and pasta bowl with meatballs so we could try all the flavors.

I was in town for work meetings and, when looking up can’t miss restaurants, found DDD’s review of the Meatball Stoppe. There were 11 of at Dinner and Isabella treated us like long lost relatives visiting her home. The food was fantastic and even though everyone was stuffed, somehow they were still able to eat dessert….. Next time I’m in town, I’ll be back at the Meatball Stoppe!
