Our server, Carter, along with the charming staff and the live band, were wonderful hosts. It was definitely worth the trip, and we will surely come back with more friends. Make sure to arrive with an empty stomach because you'll need plenty of room for all the delicious food!
Dining here was rather average considering the prices. The portion sizes are quite small, and I struggle to justify the costs. I ordered a dish that was served on a plate roughly the size of an iPad, which included a small portion of rice, two tiny sausage patties, and a little bit of noodles. All of this definitely shouldn’t cost $14, including tip. The only reason I’m giving this place three stars is because the owner was friendly and took the time to chat with us. Otherwise, I don't see myself returning.
As soon as I could, I visited their new location. My first choice was the Royal W/Cheese (a pork sausage patty, grilled wobble, chic sauce, American cheese, shredded lettuce, and pickles). I absolutely loved it! The two patties created a fantastic combination of flavors and provided a hearty portion for a meat lover like me. I also tried the Longanisa Burger (with homemade garlic sausage, pineapple, Atchara cubes, provolone cheese, and garlic aioli), which was divine. The longanisa was outstanding, with rich, almost chorizo-like flavors, making it a truly unique offering in the UCF area. The sweet acidity of the pineapple added an excellent contrast, and this burger is sure to become a favorite. I ordered a couple of side dishes: the Lumpia Jumprolls (either pork or veggie spring rolls served with sweet chili sauce) and Pancit noodles (rice noodles with Chinese sausage, cauliflower, carrots, and garlic). Please, please don’t refer to them as “lumps.” If you do, kindly stop. Regardless, these classic side dishes are fantastic. The lumpia were crispy, warm, and just right. The pancit was classic and reminiscent of other iterations I've had in the past, very similar in taste. However, I was disappointed to find they didn't have ube horchata (made with ube, coconut milk, and cinnamon) at this new location. It’s my favorite drink in all of Orlando—the creamy ube combined with the cinnamon kick from the classic horchata is simply amazing. Overall, this place is wonderful. If you live in the UCF/Oviedo area, you should definitely make it a regular stop. If you’re not from around here, it's worth a visit.
Service was good, the place was nicely decorated, but the bbq cocks were not good. about 75% was fat and uncooked pork, which can make people sick. but the rice, the noodles, and the prickly lumps were good. in my opinion, the prices are somewhat higher than they should be because the proportions are small.
Good food. It's an interesting take on fili-fusion food. The Bistek Burger was good. It is basically a beef patty cooked to medium-well with a mild bistek flavor (IYKYK). If Taglish were to throw an egg on this burger it would raise it to a whole other level. The fries were excellent with a great flavor and texture. They are crispy on the outside with a soft inside. And they are battered with a light seasoning that gives it a good, not overwhelming, flavor.
