Russell's On Lake Ivanhoe - Orlando

I had another fantastic meal at Russell's. We began with the Caesar salad for two, which they prepare right at the table. There's nothing quite like a freshly made Caesar salad compared to just tossing romaine lettuce with dressing. My wife enjoyed the lamb chops, which were cooked to perfection, while I had the Duck Confit, which was quite good. For dessert, we shared a delightful white chocolate bread pudding. We each had a glass of Napa Cabernet that was average, but the wine bottle selection is impressive, albeit a bit pricey.

The food was decent, but not exceptional. My husband had to request a refill on his Coke instead of the server noticing and taking care of it. The Caesar salad was dry and came in large leaves that needed cutting. The hamburger was quite tasty, but the French fries were disappointing—they were reminiscent of those from Steak 'n Shake and not good at all.

Russell's is our go-to restaurant for special celebrations. The food is consistently outstanding. We make it a point to schedule our reservations for sunset so we can enjoy the day's end, paired with delicious cuisine and a beautiful light display on the lake.

Russell's has great food and a great location, and has a Valet to insure convenient parking, so one can't go wrong there for a high class dining experience with a relaxed feel.

The salmon with mustard sauce was very good. It was not very busy when we were there, so it is hard to know how noisy it would be if the restaurant was full. The service was very good.
