At first I didn’t think it was meat sauce as it seemed a little scarce. Sausage consisted of a few thin sliced pieces mixed in. My husband had rigatoni with pomodorino sauce, along with mushrooms and spinach. The portions were okay and the taste was good. Complimentary bread with herbed olive oil was brought to the table. I ordered a cranberry and seltzer and was charged for a mixed drink. As a courtesy, they took it off the tab. Our server seemed to be having a little bit of an off day, but was nice. The experience was nothing stellar, just okay.
I was so excited to get take out as we no longer have a macaroni grill where I live. I did curbside to go . I pulled up and called the number on the sign. The man that answered was not very friendly but was very prompt. The food was extremely dry. The fried mozzarella Was overcooked to the point where most of the cheese was on the outside and crusty. I ordered the trio and the Alfredo pasta had hardly any sauce and the lasagna was very dry as well. It wasn't horrible but definitely will not be going back. I'll go to Maggianos next time . Service and food are both better there.
Truthfully, wasn't the best food but wasn't the worst food. For the price $18 for pasta, $3-$4 to add protein, plus $3.50 add salad) in comparison to other similar restaurants where you get more for less cost, I'd say the pasta here isn't worth the price. Other options might be though. However, that's not saying it wasn't good and the customer service from our waitress, Rebecca, was absolutely top notch. She was friendly, personable and quick to accommodate allergy requests. We made sure to give kudos about her to the manager that night as well because she truly deserves it. There are vegetarian options and while there is also Gluten Free pasta, you are limited to one pasta and the toppings you choose to add. Unfortunately, the GF pasta seemed undercooked. The waitress was extremely kind in insisting on a replacement meal for it though which was much appreciated. For the Vegetarian option, I went with a build your own pasta and added spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes. For dessert, I got the Decadent Chocolate Cake but either the spoon or the plate may not have been rinsed properly because I kept tasting soap. Maybe there's a unique taste or ingredient to this cake that I'm not used to which is entirely possible. Either way, I just wasn't a fan of it. I didn't mention this to our waitress since she was already so great with the GF replacement. I asked for the dessert to go and then tossed it out. Overall, service was great, food was okay but it's not a restaurant that I would come back to.
Food tastes great! I found something unexpected on my steak, but I'm sure it rarely happens here. Otherwise the food tasted great! Very welcoming but dimly lit dinning area. The staff was very nice and found for extra topping on the steak. I'd go back here.
