London House - Orlando

I had high expectations for this restaurant, given its beautiful decor, good cocktails, and an impressive menu. Unfortunately, those positives were overshadowed by loud disco music, bland food, and mediocre service. To make matters worse, despite having an 8 PM reservation on a Thursday night, they had already run out of several main courses and dessert options. Overall, it didn't offer good value for the price we paid. We won’t be returning.

Save your money. The attitude here is ungrateful. Now that they're going private, the quality of both the food and service has decreased significantly. The bisque had no lobster, the tartar was tasteless, and the risotto was more like soup than a dish. The scallops were nothing to write home about either. They offered the Gentleman Martini without caviar but charged the same price. Honestly, they should just close down and go private. And as a final note, why would the valet mention he accepts cash, Venmo, and Zelle? Unbelievable!

Since the restaurant typically caters to members only, it's possible they weren't accustomed to having public guests. Aside from this awkwardness, everything else was wonderful. One additional point to mention: the valet attendant appeared to be dozing off and was eating as I tried to get my car parked, so I ended up using the valet service next door, which provided excellent service. Would I return to London House? Absolutely, but only if the value is right. The food, pricing, service, music, and atmosphere were all outstanding. Oh, and please stop drawing attention to the themed bathrooms—that felt a bit odd. Instead, highlight the restaurant itself!
