Foodies Cafe - Orlando

We attempted to visit this restaurant, but unfortunately, we found it to be permanently closed. We hope they provide an update soon, as this was quite a disappointing experience!

We waited over an hour for our food, so we had no choice but to dig into our meals right there, even though we intended to dine in. To make matters worse, the croissant listed on the menu was unavailable, and the quiet gentleman behind the counter mentioned they should have removed it from the menu. My sister opted for the bacon and eggs instead. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with fries, and I found the sandwich rather bland, though the fries were nicely seasoned. I also tried my baby's omelette, which was supposed to be mushroom-free, but it was equally lacking in flavor. I had really hoped the food would compensate for the long wait—especially since we were the first to place our order but the last to be served—but sadly, it did not. There was only one person working in the kitchen and a kind individual at the front. I wish the best for this little café and hope it continues to receive support from regular customers. Here's hoping they can improve and grow their business in the future.

Fantastic spot! The croissant sandwich is absolutely amazing. Plus, the owner prepares everything from scratch.

I am so disappointed with my experience here recently. During the pandemic in 2020 I came here for takeout, and while the wait for takeout was an hour, it was definitely worth it. The food itself is delicious! I recently returned for a sit down meal. We waited nearly two hours after ordering, and there were still people ahead of me that hadn 't gotten their order yet. I understand this is not fast food but I was embarrassed that I had recommended the restaurant to my date and we ended up leaving because the wait staff couldn 't even give us an estimate as to when our food might be ready, after nearly two hours of waiting. Unfortunately I can only recommend this restaurant if you enjoy wasting half a Saturday sitting on uncomfortable chairs in a place with minimal atmosphere, or if you have eaten immediately prior to arrival, because by the time your order finally gets to the table you will be hungry again. The staff were also completely aloof, unapologetic, and unhurried.

I never got my food. We sat there and waited for an hour and 40 minutes. At that point, I asked when we could expect our food to which the employee responded “I have no idea.” At that point I demanded a refund and left. We ordered chicken and waffles which shouldn’t have taken over 15 minutes to prepare, but it appears that they didn’t even start cooking anything until about 45 minutes after we had sat down. There were about 3 tables ahead of us and no one in the restaurant had food for at least an hour and fifteen minutes. Furthermore, they make you pay up front so there’s no incentive for them to provide good service. All signs indicated that they could care less about preparing our food with any sense of urgency. And again, we never received our food but the other patrons were served their food in styrofoam containers, which is less than presentable. Overall, we we were severely disappointed and won’t be going back. I suggest not wasting your time and money.P.S. The scene depicted is our food-less table.
