Food was delicious!!! The gluten free cauliflower crust was a great option for me. My husband had the chicken parm which he said was amazing. The fresh garlic bread also he said was probably the best he’s had. We arrived right at 5 pm so we placed our order at the counter and paid; then sat down. Seating and atmosphere could be improved but overall we had a lovely meal which was delicious and well priced!
We wanted to eat in the nearby Ethiopian restaurant, but it was closed. When we went to the Japanese restaurant at the other end of the strip, we decided to try Famas instead. It wasn't disappointed. Famas is a small, family-run restaurant. What seems to be an old black and white photo of the owner when much younger is attached to a movie poster by The Godfather. My wife had Pasta Penne. I had added Gnocchi in Pesto sauce with the penne vegetables. We share a Greek salad on the recommendation of our server. He also recommended the spumone bomb for dessert, although I am sure all desserts are excellent. Note: A 18% tip was added for only 2 of us.
Excellent restaurant! Server was fantastic. My Fiancé and I were here once when we visited a few years ago and it was amazing. We went twice this trip and loved her. It is affordable and the food was amazing with really nice portions. I would recommend it here.
Do you know how gems always appear hidden? This is definitely one of them. As the other reviews say, this is an inconceivable and quite indescribable little place in a strip-mall, but while most reviews just tell you to look past that as if it is unconsistent with the amazing food, I would suggest that the simple ambience is actually a compliment for the food and part of the entire experience. I'll get back to that. The food is indeed DIVINE. This is honest with one of the best Italian dinners I had in my whole life, I swear it, and Italian is my favorite kitchen in general. We had Bruschetta from whom I shall dream; Pasta I tried my best to eat slowly because I never wanted it to end; Garlic knots the size of my fist so fresh, so fluffy, so buttery, so delicious; and finally a light and airy tiramisu. I really can't decide what was best. Each new course was a pleasure in his own. Back to the atmosphere: I know some people really love the experience of fine food, but really think about it. Parking, reservations, waiting times, playing music, a distracted server, stealing dishes and talking all over the room. That's not that. This is the luxury of simplicity. There are about 10 tables in place, most were empty on our Saturday night visit, and our server, Juan Carlos, was perfectly attentive (but not float). He was so friendly and friendly, made excellent recommendations (we got the broschetta and garlic rolls thanks to him, and when pressed to the best part of my meal, it is probably between these two), and was just a joy. We were treated like a priority because he was able to really give us his attention as he wasn't walking around waiting for a dozen tables. The owner and the staff take care of your experience and treat you like friends. We felt relaxed. We could enjoy this incredible meal at a cozy pace and talk about the table without increasing our voices about the ambient noises of a busy restaurant. Come on, trust me.
