Hanazen - Orinda

My wife and I have been living in Orinda for four years, yet we had no idea this gem existed until recently. Our experience at Hazan was fantastic. The atmosphere is intimate, the staff is knowledgeable, and the quality of the fish is outstanding. They offer a fixed menu featuring a variety of unique seafood options. The chef's personal touch is evident in every dish. The host was not only informative but also had a great sense of humor. We truly enjoyed our time there and can't recommend it enough. As someone who regularly eats fish, I can say that this was an entirely different experience. Just keep in mind that with such quality comes a price, as is often the case with great things.

The food here is outstanding. However, the seating area is quite small, so it's best to call ahead to reserve. While it's not the cheapest option, the quality of the fish and the skillful preparation make it well worth the price.
