The staff and service is very nice and helpful and food came out fast and hot. Had the crispy chicken sandwich.. It was ok.. The chicken was very good.. hot and crispy and juicy in the centre, but the sauce and slaw that was on top did not go well with the sandwich. The sauce seemed like thousand island dressing.. would have the sandwich again with out the sauce and just dip it in the swiss sauce instead. Fries were good but i found there were too short and you can't dip them in the sauce without a fork or even a spoon.. they were that short.
Faster service and political staff. eating is beyond what I expected. $38 for a full buck and 4 pages. a
The location orillia is the best Swiss chalet restaurant I have visited. since the mid-sixties I have eaten in Swiss chalet restaurants in ontario, starting with the original Toronto-based location. I only ever eat, so my rating does not consider the take-out service. the orillia swiss chalet has the right combination of friendly, nurturing staff and properly prepared meals. the price is reasonable and overall it is a good value experience that meets expectations. the signature swiss chalet sauce is always perfect here and the hunch is almost always juicy, with crispy skin. they have recently improved their small rolls and the frits are made from full potatoes and are great. if they are a regular customer, the server can even remember their 'normal order. ' other Swiss chalet locations note how it is right.
I got the white chicken with ribs with sweet potato fries. Chicken was juicy but not much taste, ribs were good but lacked meat for backribs. My friend order dark meat 1/4 chicken and it was the smallest serving l've ever seen. Baby chicken l guess. I found it expensive for what you receive. I find better value and quality elsewhere.
This restaurant is not open until 9PM …and I should not have to drive there to find out. How can a restaurant still close at 8PM on a summer weekend? Ridiculous! Not the first time I’ve been dissatisfied with management here.
