Route 20 Ice Cream - Orchard Park

This ice cream shop is truly one-of-a-kind, as it used to be an old gas station. They offer a wide variety of options on their extensive menu, and all the ice cream is regular, not soft serve.

I don't usually write reviews, but my experience at Route 20 Ice Cream was disappointing. We ordered large root beer floats priced at $6.50 each, but there was barely any ice cream and hardly any root beer in them. When I asked if we could get the remainder of the root beer cans to fill the floats, I was told no. At every other ice cream shop I've been to, they typically let you take the leftover soda so you can keep adding to the float. Instead, we were left with just foam. I can't help but wonder what they do with the leftover root beer. Overall, it was a poor experience with subpar floats.

Ordered a small hard ice cream in a dish, 1 scoop Perry’s vanilla and 1 scoop Perry’s raspberry swirl. My ice cream comes out all vanilla with raspberry syrup mixed over top and covered in rainbow sprinkles. Not sure if it were because they were busy or due to miscommunication. Saw 3 other orders messed up in the entirety of the 10 minutes I was there.

Zero stars for zero class. The ladies stared at me with unpleasant faces and both flatly and rudely said, “we don’t have any gelato,” when my family went up to the window, said hi excitedly and asked what flavors they have. Their rude and cold behavior left a bad taste in our mouths and we left to go to another ice cream shop. Won’t be going there again and will let everyone know that there are other nice places to go and get ice cream.
