Thai For You - Orangeville

I ordered takeout, and the woman who served me was delightful from start to finish. Unfortunately they only get 3 stars from me because of the food quality. The spring rolls were burnt, and the curry was terribly bland. Not to mention the ratio of curry to rice was EXTREMELY disproportioned. I’ve never had eggplant in a curry, and I never will again. Yuck! The fried dumplings were satisfying though. Not sure I’ll go back, there are a couple other Thai restaurants in town that I definitely prefer.

This is about as authentic Thai as you'll find in Orangeville, but average compared to other Thai places in Ontario. I showed up to pick up our order on time, but still had to wait 25 minutes as it wasn't ready, and 4 others came in after me, also all waiting. I specified an allergy to sesame, which they said wouldn't be a problem, yet it was all over all our coconut rice bowls. I tried calling to verify that the rest of the order was sesame-free, but couldn't get through their phone line. Tried for 2 hours until their closing time. And they were closed for 2 days after that, so I couldn't even indulge in the leftovers for fear of them being sesame-contaminated. I sampled 3 dishes that I know are usually sesame-free from other Thai restaurants. All were average, and my wife said the same about the other dishes that I did not risk trying. If you're craving Thai, this place will do in a pinch, so long as you're not in a rush or have any food allergies.

The food was very good, but they do not check vaccination status correctly.

Very disappointed in the coconut soup my daughter and I had. Tasted only coconut milk, with no sigh of coriander or lemongrass or any other vegetable. Main plate of chicken was decent, and tasty. Service : 2 waitresses were very nice and pleasant but had zero experience in waitressing. I can't say i recommend this restaurant.

Great food it's my favorite but that doesn't matter if you can't get it. I mean not answering the phone bc you are busy is unacceptable, telling people you can't do their orders is crazy....maybe if you had more then one cook in the kitchen it wouldn't be a issue.
