After driving through the city and returning from vacation, we decided to stop for lunch, and we’re so glad we did! This was one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. It strikes the perfect balance of authenticity and quality ingredients across the board. You can really taste that the meat is either slowly braised or well-marinated; it’s full of flavor. We definitely plan to return next time!
It's unfair for them to call themselves a Mexican restaurant when the owners and staff are Honduran, and there's no authentic Mexican flavor or good service. They seem to be using the name just to attract the attention of both American and Mexican customers. I would not recommend it. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
I visited on a quiet Monday night and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes and reasonable prices. The flavors were authentic, just as I had hoped. The staff was very attentive, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere that felt family-friendly. The background music added to the pleasant ambiance. The space is also well-suited for happy hour. I’ll be sure to return to Orangeburg next time, although it’s no longer located on Chestnut but rather at 1058 Russell Street downtown.
Fantastic food and excellent service! The bar area and outdoor deck are lovely. I really enjoy coming here from Charleston. Parking is convenient, and it's very kid-friendly. We dined in for lunch, and the price per person was between $10 and $20. I highly recommend the chips and salsa and the chicken soup. There's plenty of parking available, including a free parking lot.
