Thar Indian Cuisine - Orange

Indian restaurant can be similar all over the country but Thar Indian Cuisine in Orange, goes one step further... the food presented is all good, the entrees tasty, the curries made to order with fresh ingredients, the service pleasant and the value for money good. Our group of 4 shared 4 entrees and 3 mains and all dishes were enjoyable - the goat curry being a little different and very tasty. Although the wine list is limited, the mark up on local wine is minimal which is an added bonus - and they do allow BYO wine as well. Total cost including wine was just $45 per head .

Not the authentic experience I was hoping for. It is dumbed down Aussie-fied Indian. It was bland for my tastes. I ordered butter chicken mild = no taste. Chicken tikka medium = mild spices. Garlic naan. And raita which were ok. But I didn't need to use the raita because the tikka was so mild! When I have learnt to cook authentic Indian at home from a friend and I can do better then something is wrong here.

The atmosphere and service is so welcoming, the food served fast, delicious and fresh. Not just for the hard core meat eaters - a whole page dedicated to the vegetarians!

Fresh ingredients and tasty food , warm customer service which is precious , cosy place. I have ordered takeaways several times never disappointed, will always go back.

Husband and I up at orange for work . Arrived late at motel and got takeaway from here . Absolutely beautiful . The smell as you walked in the door was amazing . Lovely friendly staff . Flavour packed food . Will definitely go their again if up that way again .
