Red's - ORANGE BEACH

I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. After a 45-minute wait, our food arrived cold. The place was dirty, with food scattered on the floors, and the service was lacking. The fish in the sushi appetizer tasted sour and was served at room temperature. My first experience at this restaurant was completely different. I visited in May when they had just opened, and the meal was fantastic. The chef's special was pan-seared snapper with a crawfish and tasso cream sauce, and it was amazing. My wife ordered the filet and lobster, both cooked to perfection. The chef even came around to check on us, and the plate presentations were stunning—probably the best meal we've ever had on the island. When I asked the server during our recent visit if the same chef was still there, she informed me that he was no longer with them and that the owner was now doing all the cooking. I would have rated my first visit a 10, but the last one was only a 1.

This is a fantastic restaurant! I really enjoy their sushi. I've eaten there at least a dozen times, and it has always been excellent.
