What a wonderful anniversary dinner we had at the Ironwood Cafe! The lobster bisque soup was, as always, delicious, and it's worth a visit just for the soup. My sweetheart's bi bim bap stir fry was beautiful and delicious. My filet was tender, providing a soft chew and deep flavor. Brianna (goes by Bri or Bree), our server, and the rest of the crew who stepped in almost automatically, were all so professional, while being humans with positive attitudes. Memorable visit.
Absolutely loved the lobster tails here. They had a wonderful bread and oil based sauce for snacking before the meal and it was delicious. They service was great!! I enjoyed my time here.
The service is great. The food is average at best. Nothing we ordered really stood out as above average. We ordered the filet with asparagus and whipped mashed potatoes. The food was extremely bland and the steaks were overcooked. For the price you pay, this is one of the worst values I’ve experienced. You’re paying fine dining prices for below average food.
My husband and I wanted to enjoy a wonderful meal to celebrate our anniversary . We had been to Ironwood before and thought it was a perfect place to go. The ambiance was a perfect place to celebrate. We thought wrong! We were escorted to the table and things went downhill from there. Our waitress finally came and took our drink orders. A simple glass of wine for each took forever to come to us. Eventually our entree' order was taken. Not a difficult order--a salmon dish and tuna tar tar. (my husband was eating light). I observed our waitress moving around assisting other tables. A table of 4 came several minutes after us. They received their dinners and were moving onto dessert and we STILL had not received our dinners. Once our dinners FINALLY came (one hour later) the disappointment came. My salmon, which I ordered medium, came well done. Not wanting to wait longer for my dinner returning it, I ate it. Not good! Thank goodness for the sauce accompanying the dish because the salmon was DRY! Forget about dessert because that, too, would probably take forever to get. Needless to say, for a dinner that was over $100, we will not be returning. We will venture out and find a new place to celebrate our anniversary. Plus, they need to update their website. The menu selection is totally different than what was offered. DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!
