H Salt Fish Chips - Orange

I used to come here a lot when I lived in Orange. I really missed this restaurant living in Riverside. Now that I am moving back to The OC, I can enjoy the food once again. Their fish is breaded just right. Not overwhelming on the crust, fish is tender and moist, their fries are delicious and I'm extremely picky with fries, their round shrimp is always delicious and the batter is light like the fish, and their fried clams are still great to this day. The fish and clams always bring back great childhood memories with my mom going to H. Salt. Honestly, with how friendly, courteous, and amazing the staff are coupled by outstanding food, I wish I could give 10 stars. To sum it up, if you have yet to try this place, I recommend the Captain's Combo, which gives you two fish, 1 shrimp, and chips. I obviously recommend the fried clams, too. Don't forget your tarter sauce (separate charge here) and malt vinegar. 10/5 stars from me.Parking: Easy parking but limited. Not that big of a parking lot.

Perfectly battered and fried perfectly. Shrimp is crispy and delicious. Clam strips are meaty and battered perfectly. The fried zucchini is also perfectly fried. Batter is stuck on the zucchini. Great place for fried fish lovers. Reminds me of Pioneer chicken batter.Food: 5/5

Delicious fish and chips. Not the same as in England, but still delicious. Meal came with tartar sauce. Made hot and fresh. Came here with my children. We enjoyed ourselves.
