We ordered the brisket queso, boudin balls, jerked chicken rolls, the fajita fried steak, hot chicken, bullfish burger, and mexican cheesecake. We had andys beans and mac and cheese for sides. Missing items. So first off they did not give me the boudin balls, left off the cheese on the burger and forgot part of the fajita steak. (salsa part) The Food. The burger was obviously made with lifeless frozen patties with no seasoning added what so ever. And the jalapeno bun had no jalapeno flavor at all. The fries that came with the burger were also strips of unedible leather. The bottom bun became so wet that the texture was more like an uncooked dough. The bullfish burger needs help. The hot chicken plate had a nice flavor and so did the fajita fried steak. The batter was seasoned well on both, so the chicken dishes were decent. Andy 's beans was probably my favorite thing out of the whole order. The many different peppers, seasonings and onions really made the beans special. The flavor reminded me of jerked chicken actually. It was really nice. The mac and cheese was plain mac and cheese. Nothing special there. The jerked chicken rolls had no jerked chicken flavor. The beans tasted more lile jerked chicken than the jerked chicken... The texture of the dish was nice and the flavor was more of a very basic bbq flavor. Jerked chicken kicks you in the teeth, but this jerked chicken had no kick at all. I was expecting way more from this. The brisket queso. Where do I even start? This cheese has the consistancy of a thick pudding. I spooned out a big chunk and turned it over and the entire chunk came off my spoon leaving no cheese behind. I dont know what they put in there, but the texture and way it moved around didnt remind me of queso.. the brisket had an overwhelming smoke flavor that tasted like they used a fake smoke flavoring or they used the wrong wood to smoke it. This dish left a disgusting after taste in my mouth and left my stomach not feeling so well. The mexican cheesecake. Just being real here, but it looks like brains in a bowl. This desert made me question whether it was even food... I was almost grossed out to not even try it. What is this, fear factor food?? The cheese cake flavor was actually pretty good. A little too much syrup in there but not bad at all. I just wanted some actual cheesecake though I spent $71 for this. I didn 't think i 'd be writing a review, but the food left me very unhappy after spending this much money.
I was there last night and there was no wait staff outside. Had to get up multiple times, anytime I wanted anything at all. After ordering CHICKEN it came under cooked and still pink in the middle. I’m pregnant and this would’ve caused a major issue if I wasn’t used to checking my food. Could’ve made anyone seriously sick for that matter!!!
This place is definitely a great place to come visit. The food has flavor and the Daiquiris were delicious. Clean and a fun place to hang out!
I ordered 2 snow crab clusters and boudain eggrolls. I called it in, but when I got to the window, someone had ordered at the window and I had to wait 20 more minutes for them to get their food ahead of me. Crab was stone cold and barely anything on it, and I had 1 good boudain roll, the rest were pretty much empty. Kind of frustrating spending $40 on nothing and waiting. 2 stars because I like their pizza burgers.
First time trying Bullfish and wish I'd gone there sooner. The appetizers we had were fried pickles, boudin balls, brisket queso and chips. All 3 were good! I had a Philly cheese steak po boy. It was so great. The bun was delicious like it was lightly buttered and baked. It was the best poboy I've ever eaten. My nephew had fish tacos and said they were good for being in Texas, he was from Florida. Also you can't beat the pitchers of beer with the frosted glasses!
