The food was excellent, but the place was a bit creepy at night. Maybe thats part of the ambience.
Great food for a good price! Have great gluten free Pita!
Best shawarma in Or Yehuda and the region. The place is named Etzel HaTurkey, literally meaning at the Turkish. This is a misnomer. As you bite into the heavenly Lafa bread, layers upon layers of ancient spices engulfing tender pieces of turkey meat will come to life in your palette. Lands of conquered and vanquished will all once again return to their temporary yet rightful owners, in a singularity of culinary co-existence. Then they'll once again vanish into oblivion as you wash it all down with a cold sip of Mitz Anavim, a synthetic nectar so far removed from grapes only the purple echoes of food coloring would turn in distant memories of fruit.
Unfortunately, my experience at this place was not a positive one. Despite having visited the establishment five years ago, the same issues I encountered back then are still present. The food was incredibly dry, which is particularly concerning for dishes like pargiyot that should be relatively simple to prepare. Sadly, the cook managed to completely overcook the meat, leaving it with a cardboard-like texture. Eating such dry pieces of meat was far from enjoyable. I was hoping that the restaurant had improved over the years, but that was not the case. It seems like many customers visit the establishment due to its kosher certification, rather than the quality of the food. Ultimately, I won 't be returning to this place anytime soon.
