Mama's Fried Chicken - Opelousas

Some of the best fried chicken I've ate and the okra boy its the best I go just for it.

After seeing the sign for Mama's countless times on our way to and from Lafayette, we finally stopped to give it a try and we were not disappointed! The fried pickles were definitely the star of the show — perfectly battered and deliciously crispy. The fried chicken was good, but pretty standard for the area. My daughter got a double cheeseburger and it was juicy and delicious! She chose the fried okra for her side and it was really good as well!

Dined in late probably around 8pm, the service was great the workers who take your order are very friendly. Ordered 2pc dark fried chicken with fried pickles. Chicken was crunchy but there wasnt much flavor or seasoning I could taste. The fried pickles they seasoned just one side, and put a little too much cajun seasoning on them.
