Francine's Cafe - Onawa

I had a wonderful breakfast this morning. My husband ordered an omelette, and I was thrilled to see a meal without eggs on the menu. I usually have to order multiple sides to get what I want, but this dish felt like it was made just for me!

This cozy diner is nestled in downtown Onawa. We were absolutely impressed by both the food and the service. You never know what to expect with dinners, but this place exceeded our expectations. It's clean and has a charming atmosphere.

This food is absolutely amazing! The homestyle cooking is fantastic, and the restaurant itself is spacious and clean. I truly enjoyed my breakfast. The waitress was respectful and polite. I highly recommend this establishment to everyone, especially meat lovers!

Got there just before closing time at 2 pm. Ordered the special, which was a pizza burger and rice pudding. Well, it's more like a chicken fried steak sandwich. Not much mozzarella cheese, no marina sauce, and the bun was dry. Asked for mayo to help it be a bit more flavorful. Asked the waitress why they don't use ingredients that help it taste like a pizza burger, and she had no idea. I will order something else next time I'm in town . Clean, friendly place was just dissatisfied with that sandwich.
