We moved to the Weatgate area after having lived in Midtown, where we frequented the original La Casa regularly. The restaurants have the same name, but all of our menu favorites from the original restaurant are not available at the West location! The man who I dealt with both times we ordered pizza from here was extremely rude. We were hoping the first trip was a fluke, the second (and last) was equally disappointing. Plus, they do not accept credit cards, and don't have an ATM to get cash at! I had to drive almost 5 minutes to the nearest bank ATM. Even though we live super close to the restaurant, the perfect storm has occurred and we will not be going back.
I absolutely love the pizza but sometimes crust is a little over done. I hate that pungent taste of romano cheese so I can't forget to order mozzarella cheese instead. I invited guest to eat there one evening and our bill for 4 people came to $90. Could have gone out for steaks! Hate the fact that you haven't switched to debit/credit cards yet either. Anyway my guests for the evening, who had never had La Casa before were not impressed to say the least. The guy who took our order was rude, prices too high, pizza was burnt, although they liked the fried ravioli's. So if I want pizza from here it's usually that I want it cause most I know don't really care for it.
Closed for Two Weeks?!. Tried to eat here on a Friday in July, but they were closed for TWO WEEKS. No explanation. Just closed. Who does that? I'm assuming the owners are micro-managers who refuse to delegate responsibility to anyone, so if they can't be there to run the restaurant then they close it. That's just pathetic.
