The braised short rib omelet, peanut butter French toast, and chicken and waffles were all delicious. Each dish was perfectly prepared, with generous portions at reasonable prices. We’ll definitely come back the next time we’re in Omaha!
We got the fried ravioli as an appetizer and the spicy margarita. Both were to die for. Then, I got the coconut shrimp salad as my entree. Also, tasted so good. My dad got the Jam’s Mac n cheese. Also incredible. We were actually en route to South Dakota but the food was the best food we had on our trip. 10/10 recommendation.
Father’s Day brunch was pretty good here, but VERY slow. We sat down at 10:30 AM, ordered just two simple brunch entrees, didn’t get food until 11:15 which was not ideal considering we had a toddler and baby with us. It took over 30 minutes to get our food from the time we ordered and there were quite a few open tables around us. We got the biscuits gravy which was good, just needed more gravy, and maple bacon French toast that had a delicious peanut butter banana flavor. Our server was really friendly and genuinely seemed to like her job. We appreciated her attentiveness, especially to our situation with two kiddos. It is a pricey brunch spot, you pay for the upscale dining experience. Only took away a star for the slow food.
To start, I ordered the Habanero Lobster Bisque, and it was fantastic. It had a nice kick to it, but for those who enjoy some spice, it’s manageable. However, if you're not a fan of spicy food, it might be a bit too intense for your taste. Overall, I found it excellent, and I wouldn't hesitate to order it again if it’s available on my next visit. For my main course, I chose the Midtown Meatloaf. It was quite different from the meatloaf I am accustomed to. The waiter did an outstanding job explaining how their version differed from the typical meatloaf found in this area, which usually comes topped with ketchup and a brown sugar glaze, with more ketchup served on the side. Their meatloaf, however, has no ketchup or glaze at all; instead, it resembles a hamburger steak with a light brown gravy. While it was a good meal, it wasn't what I expected. I would likely explore other menu options next time rather than making this my go-to dish. It was enjoyable but not extraordinary in my opinion. Nonetheless, based on everything else I mentioned, this was a five-star visit, and I would definitely return.
What a hidden gem in Omaha! Every dish on the menu is one-of-a-kind, and you won’t find anything like it elsewhere. I was introduced to this place by a local who frequently visits and has enjoyed everything they’ve tried. Everything is made in-house from scratch, including their sausage. The biscuits and gravy were delicious, and the jalapeño jam added a delightful hint of sweetness to the savory dish. The potatoes were fried to perfection, and I appreciated the flaked salt sprinkled on top. The staff was very friendly, and the establishment was clean. I’ll definitely return the next time I’m in Omaha!
