Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe arrived at 7:30pm. The crowd was thinning slowly. We ordered two pizzas. Two pizzas!!! Guess what? It took them 50 minutes (yes 50 minutes) to deliver two pizzas to our table. Before that, we had to return one plate back as it was not clean. Of course, the attendant promptly replaced the plate. I can't recall any fine dining pizzeria experience where we had to wait for such a looong time before being served food. The quality of pizza did not come close to the high prices. In other words, very poor value for money.
I have been in Omaha for work for about 2 weeks now, have already visited this gem 3 times, and will absolutely be going again before I leave. The pastas are made in house daily, the brick oven pizzas are incredible, and the ribeye absolutely fantastic. The bar staff is very friendly and knowledgeable; Jackson helped me and a colleague choose several different drinks that are now go tos. If you're in the area and haven't been here, you're missing out.
First time at Dante. Only heard good things. We nearly left after being seated because it was uncomfortably warm in the dining room. Our server was awful. Never introduced himself. Didn’t check on us after we got our food. Didn’t thank us for coming. Kinda of a zero on the personality scale. Drinks mine was good but watered down quickly due to the ambient temp. Wife said her cocktail was terrible. Meatball appetizer was good, maybe 7.5/10. We’d eaten at Railcar about a week ago and there meatball appetizer is much tastier. Pizza I got pizza Giuseppe. Worst pizza I’ve ever had. It had the consistency and flavor of soup in the entire middle with okay crust on the edge. That’s not an exaggeration. No fork or teeth required to eat. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I would have rather have gone hungry it was that bad. Pasta wife got carbonara. It was nicely cooked. Flavors were a bit bland for our taste. She took much of it home hoping that an overnight in the fridge would deliver richer flavors tomorrow. Our experience was disappointing based on word of mouth reviews from friends. It was so bad, we just can’t ever go back. ?
I never thought I would come to Omaha. However work sent me here, little did I know that the foodie culture is thriving and spear heading the way is Dante. I have been 4 times in two weeks, I love it. As someone from NYC let me tell you this is what we search for. The pizza is top notch, the homemade pasta Wow. On my fourth visit I had this digestive (pictured below) and it topped off my trip. Omaha has now become to layovers worthy. Wow!!!
We just love this place. We come here every time we're in the area. This is a fantastic place to come and just have a nice dinner and have a few drinks and enjoy a good conversation.
