They added new set of Tobanyaki and Kaminabe dishes for the Japanese dishes fans and foodies. (Long post ahead). FOOD Tobanyaki is a modern style Teppanyaki which dishes are cooked in a ceramic that continuously emits heat after removing from the heat source. They served this dishes with 3 kinds of sauce with different taste (red wine based, sour cream with wasabi, and steak based). Here are the new Tobanyaki dishes served at Rosanjin: If you are a fan of beef dishes, these two dishes are a must try. It is preferred to eat them as soon as possible after it 's cooked so you can enjoy the softness and juiciness of the beef. Both chicken meat with cheese cubes, this dish are very tasty. Chicken Cheeseyaki is a combination of the chicken, cheese and veggies like asparagus and broccoli. On the other hand, Chicken Misoyaki is a combination of chicken, cheese, sweet bell peppers with miso paste. The flavor of the two dishes were enhanced because of the melted cheese after it is cooked. If you love fish and sea food these dishes are also worth the try. Buri Teriyaki is cooked in a ceramic with Buri (Japanese Amberjack fish) plus the sauce. Shrimp Cheeseyaki is the same as the Chicken Cheeseyaki but they used shrimp instead with a hint of tartar sauce. It is a dish with big sized scallops topped with uni (sea urchin) with a thick slice of butter at the middle. This dish is very delicious and the sea urchin enhances the taste of the dish. Personally, this dish is my favorite Tobanyaki dish and second will be the Chicken Misoyaki. Kaminabe is a type of cooking with uses Kaminabe paper as the hot pot of the dish. Kaminabe paper is a type of Washi (paper) made from the fibers of the gampi tree, mitsumata shrub, paper mulberry, or bamboo. The dish will be cooked with the use of a candle and Kaminabe paper holder. If you like stew type dishes, this two is a must try. Enjoy the vegetables and beef stew with Sukiyaki Kaminabe and vegetables plus chicken meat with Chicken Kaminabe. Be sure to mix them altogether so that the ingredients are equally cooked. Looking for something sour? Try their Buri Kaminabe with lemon to add sourness to the dish. Also try their Seafood Kaminabe, stewed veggies, tofu and seafood. If you love shrimp with the perfect sour taste, try their Shrimp Kaminabe and enjoy the big shrimps with the tasty miso soup. I literally crave for rice after tasting this dish! Be sure to try Rosanjin Japanese Restaurant 's new offerings, available starting July 22, 2015. If you are looking for a modern style Japanese Restaurant, Rosanjin should be on your list. Dishes are available in Ala Carte, in big servings and in set. Drop by at SM Megamall and visit their branch, bring your family and special ones and have a sumptuous Japanese dining experience.
I love japanese food, really. And Rosanjin never fails my belly to be as happy. As always. Their sashimi is really authentic. Superb! I'll come back over and over, for sure.
I love the presentation of their traditional dishes especially the tobanyaki and kaminabe. I am surprised the Japanese paper used for the soup doesn't burn while cooking. The crew will guide you about the dishes especially if you are as clueless like I was about the tobanyaki and kaminabe. Speaking for myself, it may be a little expensive but it is worth it. Dined Tobanyaki style today! Came for (late) lunch and, being new to this restaurant, I studied the menu and apparently, they have a hot pot on which one can do a little cooking. Im not sure if I got my orders wrong as all the dishes Ive tried were just not remarkable. I didnt do my research so I wasnt sure of what to order. I asked my server whats their bestseller and after our short conversation, I felt like I got even more confused. She was stuttering at some point and is not as knowledgeable with their menu. Being the visual person that I am, I then ordered what looked nice on photos. I had their Alaskan Roll and Salmon Burger. I was surprised when my server said that I also get a plate of California Maki for 1php. Great deal so I said yes. The Alaskan roll came first. I find it just fine as well as the California roll. I pretty much got excited with my little cooking sesh so when my earthenware called toban arrived, I wished this one would save the two other dishes. It takes 7 to 10 minutes of cooking but I added 5 more minutes as I want my salmon to be well-done. Upon tasting, my salmon was tasty but dry. Could it be because I cooked it more than how its supposed to be done? It was good but not stellar. Service was okay but towards the end of my meal, they got even more friendly and accommodating. Final verdict? Hmmm. Not fair! Ive read quite a few good reviews about Rosanjin and I guess I need to revisit and try out the dishes that these bloggers are raving about! Who 's with me?
I'm always in search of a Japanese restaurant that offers ramen in their menu and last week my feet brought me to Rosanjin Japanese Restaurant located in SM Fashion Hall. This is not your ordinary Japanese restaurant because they offer something different. They have kaminabe. This is something new for me. Kaminabe is the art of cooking that use Japanese paper as a pot. Interesting, isn't it? I'll return to Rosanjin for this experience!
