Oriental Pearl, formerly known as Jade Palace, holds a special place in my heart. It was my Dad's favorite restaurant and we celebrated many family occasions there. When their original branch in Shaw Boulevard closed, we were sad. But we were thrilled to learn they moved to Kapitolyo. The new location has the same staff and delicious Chinese food. It is the only authentic Chinese restaurant I know in the Pasig area. The prices are very affordable, and we always order the family meals. Some of our favorite dishes include Hot Prawn Salad, Patatim, Beef Cashew, Chinese Fried Chicken, Pancit Canton, Fresh Suahe, and Beef Brisket Noodles. When on a budget, I recommend their rice meals such as pork spareribs, spicy beef brisket, and Lapu-lapu fillet. Their dimsum is cheap and delicious too. If you want legit Chinese food, Oriental Pearl is the place to go!
