Restaurant Zollhaus - Olten

We had a group dinner at Zollhaus. Food was excellent and service was also good.

The overall arrangement was well below our expectations. The welcome and initial explanations about the menu were attentive and the evening got off to a good start. We all ate three courses à la carte. The dishes on the small menu made you want more, but they also have impressive prices (which is normal in a place like this). The ambience is ok, there is no attention to detail or seating where you can enjoy 5 or 6 courses. All the dishes we ate were well made, but clearly not refined enough for these prices. If I go out to eat for two people and spend 300-350 francs, then there are some restaurants in Switzerland that offer significantly more for the money. It was also hectic in service, you had the feeling that at least one service person was missing. It's ok if I go to a typical pizzeria or a typical Swiss restaurant. We would not recommend the restaurant, it is simply not ok in terms of price-performance.

Great! We were thrilled! Excellent food, successful compositions and great craftsmanship. Extremely attentive staff. A wonderful discovery. Lovely again.

We were able to enjoy the New Year's Eve menu at Verena and were overwhelmed by the taste experience. An inspiring experience for the eyes and the palate.
