The Farmhouse - Olsburg

The Farmhouse catered our wedding in September 2022, and they absolutely exceeded our expectations with the food! I believe everyone will be reminiscing about the delicious dishes from our wedding for years to come. Thank you for doing such a fantastic job!

We booked Farmhouse for our wedding in June 2022, and it was an incredible experience! The food was outstanding, and we received countless compliments about the dinner. We really appreciated the table-side service and the family-style dining; it added a special touch to our celebration. Erin was wonderful, and the entire staff made everything easy to coordinate. Thank you, Farmhouse!

However, the service is a bit unconventional; you place your order at the counter, and then they bring your food to you. It also operates as a general store. When we arrived, there was only one person working, but she was very friendly. Another staff member showed up shortly after, but the place didn’t seem very busy and had a slightly unkempt feel to it. The restrooms were located in a back room, which gave the impression that we were encroaching on the kitchen area. On a positive note, the special of chicken fried steak was fantastic, and the chicken sandwich was also quite good. The homemade ice cream was delicious as well. Overall, it was a good experience, but it could use some improvements in the ambiance and cleanliness.

If you are looking for a snooty, high class expensive joint, this ain't it. If you are looking for good food, real people, and a relaxed small town atmosphere, you won't be disappointed. My kind of place.

I was cruising through Olsburg bidding some work and it was quite a distance to my next stop. The back roads don't offer much. I had heard that the restaurant here was affiliated with the one in Riley. I came in just before 11 and got a glass of water. The cook promised me she could get food in a hurry to be at my next stop on time. I had a great cheeseburger, it was local beef by the taste. Fresh lettuce and tomato, and as a side fried mushrooms! I hear the Friday chicken fried steak is hand breaded and real mashed potatoes. I'll be back!
