Lunch today. Service was extremely poor. Girls taking our order was confused, maybe it was their first day on the job. She took an order and tried to go, we told her we wanted to order all food. Food came out... about 45 minutes after our order. We were the only customer back then. Maybe they just opened, we understood. Then my husband and friend Cheeseburger and one of the Cheeseburgers were so burned that they could not even bite in it. When we told the girl about it. She told us, “It’s all the same.” We asked them to see the side of the burger and she scared us off. She said to us, “It’s all the same.” Just take a look at my photo... that doesn't even look eatable! Too bad I forgot to make a photo of the other Cheeseburger a comparison. I ordered pizza. Our other friend ordered Pesto Pasta... it wasn't good. Our bill came to about 150 sols.
On the square. Annoncated pizza as 20 for a medium, but this is only for ham and cheese. Had the great personal for 32sol each and were quite good, although not convinced that the bases are made fresh. Surprise the credit card... machine didn't work. Total ok
Located on the main square, so handy for most things. We visited based on a recommendation from our hotel. I don't think we'd have gone in otherwise, as it looks pretty unappealing from the outside, and isn't much better inside. I was still recovering from...a stomach bug, so had chicken and noodle soup which was fresh and tasty without being gourmet cooking. The others enjoyed their food. There was a random dog wandering around from time to time, hoovering up chips dropped by my son. A pretty standard menu of pizza, beef and chicken with some pasta. My wife had a disappointing Pisco sour. Indifferent service, but I'm starting to realise it's just the way it is in Peru. OK, but there's better in Ollanta.
We came in with a party of five and ordered a variety of things from the menu. My asked if they had Coke Zero, and the waitress thought for a moment and then said, "Si". We then watched her run to a store up the street and come back with my wife's Coke Zero. I thought this was very nice of her. She also ended up making a couple more trips for things they needed to complete our order. This place is kind of a one-man-band operation. The chef worked hard to make everything fresh and everything was very good. The pizza was the best we had in Peru - outstanding crust and cooked just right. The only downside is it took a long time, but the pizza was so good that we ended up being very happy. The staff was very nice and genuine.
