Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe came from Raleigh, NC. I had such a difficult time trying to find a place to stay. My fiance was coming to see his youngest daughter graduate from High-school. He has not seen her in 14 years. We needed something decent that was close to Roxbury NY. I booked a room at this establishment. I was contacted shortly after my booking. I did inform that we were coming from NC. We were definitely not going to make 6pm check in. I was told that was not a problem and the door would be open for us. We experienced more traffic than expected. I called multiple times and left a message. I did receive a call back. I let a female know we were going to arrive even later then we expected. I was told that was already expected and the door would be left open. I didn't have any worries until we arrived. Locked. I called the number and we were told once again it was supposed to be unlocked and available for us to get in. We had to wait to have the owner? Let us in. 20 ,30 minutes later. We have been in the car a very long time. Do not trust the pictures. I know in the agreement 7 days before. I couldn't stay here. I wish, I was offered something for their mishap, but was only offered complementary coffee as the door hits me in the butt. I'm at a loss with nothing to make up for the 2 extra days I paid for. Really? I understand the policy, but ... Great way to welcome guests by making them feel unwelcome.
My wife and I loved an affordable, comfy, and clean place to stay while we skied at Belleayre. Coffee in the AM was great and were total coffee snobs! We used to frequent this area several years ago and a few things have since closed down, meaning you’ll need to drive over to Arkville for general supplies. Most places nearby seemed to open around 8am and close on the earlier side. Although we visited during the week and saw that they would make you breakfast on the weekend.Expect traditional Catskills lodging. We’ve eaten at the tavern in the past and it was great. Didn’t make it on our last visit.
No frills and close to the mountains. There is no service really, we didn’t interact with any staff the 2 nights we stayed there. Our shower didn’t have a shower head which we noted on a sheet of paper when we left. The walls are very thin and we could hear the groups next to us discussing crack cocaine at 1 in the morning ?
The restaurant and the comfy bed was the best part of our stay!! I will admit it’s my fault I didn’t notice that it stayed that all room are on the 2nd and 3rd floors but their stairs are insanely narrow. We chose the double room and that’s pretty much what it was…. A double bed with a sink and an end table. Then what looked to be an old closet was the shower and toilet. The whole room was at a slant and to sit on the toilet was very tight to say the least as well as the toilet having the same lean. Again, the bed was super comfy and my hubby and I were forced to chat as there wasn’t a tv in our room oh, and no phone. The walls are paper thin as you could hear the people not only talking next to us but below us too! We are at the restaurant downstairs which was amazing and if you’ve had the fried chicken, I don’t need to say anymore, it’s fantastic! The lady that checked us in was nice also. I will make sure to read all amenities and look more closely at room pictures.
The restaurant is such a great place for a casual or dressy date night or even just a drink at the bar solo. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is chill and fun and there's always a cool mix of people. One of the last historical inns/restaurants with that old-fashioned hospitable vibe that people have been drawn to for ages.I haven't stayed in the rooms but I've seen them and they're clean, perfect and affordable. The restaurant staff are knowledgeable, professional and hospitable and you'll feel at home whether you're a local or a tourist. One of the only local restaurants with real chefs, creating real beautiful dishes at affordable prices. Love this place!Food drinks: Food and drinks are so good and atmosphere can't be beat. Casual or dressy.
