Sure, there are a hundred tvs playing all kinds of sports, but the area is much more indie music scene and oiled beards than die-hard Maple Leafs exurbia. They have cold draught beers that you have heard of before, along with really average service. The space is great for large groups or for those who want to Watch sports. On slow nights the place feels a bit cavernous.
Nah. The waitresses were outstanding and the beer was well priced but the food just sucked. It's basically no attempt at delivering good food and just settling for being a bar to watch sports. My burger tasted like the ones the cafeteria in middle school used to serve. Nice to see that the lunch ladies are still in business lol :
Pretty average bar in terms of food and drinks, but it's a large space with lots of TVs and pool tables across the two floors. Not too crowded either, so it's good for playing some games with friends or enjoying a beer while watching the game (I believe there were at least 3 different sports games being broadcast across the TVs so you get to take your pick! .
This visit wasn't their best performance. I don't know if it is that Gus was away, perhaps they had a different cook in the kitchen or it could just be the impact of hyperinflation. My chicken wings were anorexic in comparison to what they've given me in the past, and the amount of hot sauce was non-existent. The Pina colada was good but hits better when drank outside in the heat. As usual, the servers were phenomenal and the inside had enough TVs to watch the game. I will be back, only I hope that next time the experience will be to the standard I've come to expect from this local eatery.
Sat on the patio here and ordered beer and food. The beer list is basic nothing memorable. The food was just okay. I wouldn't eat there again, to be honest, when there is so much better food elsewhere. The service was, again, just okay. This is a neighbourhood local for a casual beer and is not a destination unto itself.
