Benares Cucina Indian - Old Toronto

I stumbled upon this gem in downtown, and I'm so glad I did. Good food can be hard to find in the area, but this restaurant stands out with its exceptional and mind-blowing flavors. Everything we tried was a delightful surprise, bursting with spices and taste. I highly recommend it and will definitely return time and again. The only downside is the 17% service charge, which seems quite steep when added to the tax, making the final bill feel a bit excessive.

This restaurant serves incredible Indian cuisine. I tried the butter chicken and the chicken curry, and both were outstanding. The butter chicken is among the best I’ve ever had. It's on the expensive side, so just a heads up, but I believe the quality of the food justifies the price.

Excellent interior, good welcoming staff and authentic Indian taste. These are the things that one would expect from any restaurant and you guys did all of that. Loved the 1st experience. Definitely will recommend to others.

Absolutely amazing food, must try if you're in Toronto Downtown. Now this restaurant is my every weekend's dinner place. I tried butter chicken, saag paneer, paneer tikka and they were really yummy. This is the best North Indian food I got in Toronto. After having the dinner I ordered Mango Kulfi and I am in love with it now. You can see the picture and there was real mango in it and no flavour at all. Excellent customer service too!

This time we tried vegetarian food but food was not good. We ordered Paneer tikka, dal makhni and aloo gobi, only dal makhni was up to mark. Rest were not good at all. Though, The cocktails were good and samosa was also fantastic. Will try sometime non-veg food then may be will increase the rating.
