Applebee's Grill - Olathe

My friend and I visited this restaurant to celebrate our one-year anniversary. It took us 15 minutes to get a table, and then another 10 minutes before our server came to take our order. We ordered as soon as she arrived, but it took 20 minutes for our appetizers to arrive, and they were cold when they finally did. Our entrees came out about 15 minutes later. While we were there, I noticed three different groups leave the waiting area because nobody had attended to them. I only came because I had a gift card, but I won't be returning.

Our server attended to our needs, but his demeanor was a bit off; he tended to stare at us, though he was a competent waiter. We ordered a steak with shrimp on the side. The steak, while clearly cooked, didn't look very appetizing and was quite overcooked, though it still tasted decent. The shrimp, on the other hand, was really delicious. We also had potatoes, which were equally tasty. Overall, it wasn't the worst meal I've ever had, but it didn't stand out as special either.

First time back tonight after two years. Hard to review. Can't point to any one thing that made this a bad experience. I guess it would be all things. Food not very good service was as good as could be with so few servers. Prices went way up. At this point it would be very hard to get me to go back. The riblets were always my favorite. Now they tasted like roast beef in BBQ sauce. I believe they were pork before, in a nutshell don't go.

Not busy at all and had plenty of staff, over probably. It took us foreverto gey seated, ordered, AMD foid brought to us. Steak was ok. Shrimp was good.

I stopped here passing through Tuesday evening to have a few beers and dinner. I always sit at the bar wherever I go, and I watched the bartender sling drinks, and she was extremely busy. She had a full bar and the restaurant was pretty busy and she rocked it!!I frequent Applebee's consistently and I have to say that this bartender, Marianne, has been the best Applebee's bartender I've ever witnessed. She was great with customer service, consistency and speed.I ordered the salmon which I've never had at Applebee's before, and I have to admit, it was quite impressive.Thanks Applebee's for having rock stars like Marianne who show the world how it's done!And thanks Marianne for being you and being awesome!??
